NOTICE OF VACANCY

 

SANTA MARIA VALLEY WATER CONSERVATION DISTRICT

BOARD OF DIRECTORS

AND

INTENT TO APPOINT DIRECTOR

 

As of January 1, 2026, the position of Director for the Santa Maria Valley Water Conservation District, Division 5, is vacant due to the resignation of the previous Director.  The remaining members of the Board of Directors will consider filling the vacancy by appointment in accordance with Government Code Section 1780.  Therefore, an appointment may be made after this notice has been posted for fifteen (15) days. 

 

Applicants for the Division 5 Director position must be registered voters and reside within the boundaries of Division 5 of the Water District as shown on the District Division Map.  This appointment will be to fill the vacancy for the unexpired term of office, ending December 2026.

 Please note that your completed Questionnaire (except for your phone number, personal address, and email) will be included in the Board of Directors’ agenda packet materials and will be a public record.

 

The Board of Directors will consider the appointment at either a Special or Regular Board Meeting no sooner than February 19, 2026.
